Denise Clay has been photographing the world around her since her childhood.  Her passion and love for photography shows in every images she creates.  A photographic artist, Denise is an active member of the Professional Photographers of North Carolina, Professional Photographers of America, and other photographic organizations and continues to study with some of the nation's Master Photographers.

Her portraiture and fine art pieces hang in numerous homes and office through out the world.  Denise is a regular contributor to the Our State Magazine and she is honored that her work has been used by the NC Department of Travel and Tourism.  She has received numerous local and regional photographic awards and honors, including the esteemed Frank Miller Artistic Photographer of the Year Award in 2001 and was the Photographer of the Year in 2005 for the Catawba Valley Camera Club.  Denise and her work has been featured on the UNC-TV television program "Our State" and on the cover of their program guide "Centerpiece."

For years Denise worked in the health care industry as a long-term care financial specialist, a nursing home administrator and an auditor.  During her free time she would study photography and nurtured her love for her art every free minute she had.  She combined her love of photography with her love of the outdoors and her curious mind.  With the birth of her daughter, she fell in love with the style of portrait photography that is filled with feeling and that moves the viewer.  Her portraits cause the viewer to see with their hearts and not their eyes.  Regardless of whether she is creating a beautiful portrait or a commercial image, Denise strives to capture the moment that is the Image of A Lifetime...
